Η αρχική σκέψη για την συμβολική απεικόνιση της επετείου των 10 χρόνων του Μουσείου Τυπογραφίας των Χανιώτικων Νέων ήταν να είναι λιτή, διεθνής και μοναδική.
Η ιδέα για την αφίσα βασίστηκε στην ταύτιση των χρονολογιών 05 & 15 με τον αντίστοιχο κωδικό της κλίμακας PANTONE. Το χρώμα, ως βασικό στοιχείο της τυπογραφίας, σηματοδοτεί την εξέλιξη της ιστορίας της και συμβολίζει την πολλά υποσχόμενη πρόοδο της στο μέλλον.
The initial thought about the symbolic representation of the 10 years anniversary of the Typography Museum was a minimal, international and unique message.
The idea was based upon the similarity of the dates 05 and 15 (2005-2015) with the relevant codes of PANTONE scale. Colour, as a basic element of typography, signifies the progression of its history and symbolizes a promising progress in the future.

Η εξέλιξη εξ ορισμού αφορά μια πορεία που αναδεικνύει και συνθέτει στοιχεία από το παρελθόν, που επιτρέπουν στο παρόν να υπάρξει δημιουργικά και στο μέλλον να εμπνευστεί. Η πορεία αυτή έχει εκτινάξεις, εκπλήξεις, ελιγμούς, σε μια άρρηκτη συνέχεια, γιατί μόνο ως συνέχεια μπορεί να ειδωθεί. Δεν έχει κενά, διακοπές και πισωγυρίσματα, δε μπορεί να μπει σε στερεότυπα ή κλισέ, δεν μπορεί καν να προβλεφθεί.
Η εξέλιξη στη ιστορία της τυπογραφίας είναι μια μαγική διαδικασία, σχεδόν αυτοδύναμη, που αποκαλύπτεται καθημερινά σαν καλειδοσκόπιο, συνθέτοντας την επικοινωνία μας ανα τους αιώνες.
Μπορούμε μόνο να τη σεβαστούμε και να την αφήσουμε να μας ταξιδέψει στα νέα μονοπάτια που μας ανοίγει και θα μας ανοίγει αέναα, όσο υπάρχουν κοινωνίες ανθρώπων
Μόνο το μέσο θ αλλάζει πάντα, ποτέ η ψυχή της. Γιατί είναι η δική μας ψυχή.

Project Description:
Evolution by definition involves a course that highlights and synthesizes data from the past, allowing to the present to be and to create and to the future to be inspired. This course has ejections, surprises, maneuvers, in an unbroken continuity, because it can only be seen as a continuity. There are no gaps, no interruptions or setbacks, no stereotypes or clichés…It can not even be predicted. The evolution in the history of typography is a magical process, almost self-contained, disclosing daily like a kaleidoscope, composing our communication though the centuries.
We can only respect it and let it take us to new pathways that open to us perpetually for as long as there will be human societies Only the mean will always be changing, never its soul Because it is our own soul.
